"This one is for you; our students.
Maven instructors are so fortunate to have the opportunity to work with each and every one of you, and to be a part of your growth story.
Your support makes Maven possible, and our interactions with you make it worth doing.
We are extremely grateful for you and everything you do for Maven, and to show our appreciation we've decided to create a new tradition.
Later this month, we will be honoring a small group of our students by inducting them into the Maven Analytics Hall of Fame, as the inaugural class of 2020.
Think of this as getting your number retired or your jersey hoisted into the rafters.
Except this is Maven so it's more like retiring your spreadsheet or your SQL editor :)
The students selected will represent the qualities that we most value in our students and in the broader data community:
1) Maven Hall of Famers are committed to lifelong learning
2) They actively participate in Maven discussions and the broader data community
3) They consistently support and encourage others around them
4) They bring a positive energy to their learning and their work
In short, these are the people that make being a part of Maven such an enjoyable experience for both instructors and the entire student community.
After reading this, you're probably thinking of a few people who fit the profile.
We're counting on that.
From now through Friday, January 15th at 11:59 EST, we'll be accepting nominations for the Class of 2020.
To nominate someone, navigate to the official announcement post on LinkedIn, pictured below, @mention the person you would like to nominate, and include a brief note describing why you think they deserve to be in the Hall of Fame. You can see an example nomination here below the post.

Voting will take place among Maven's instructor team the week of January 18th, and we'll officially announce the 2020 class on Tuesday, January 26th at 9:00am EST.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is Maven Analytics?
Maven Analytics is an online learning platform that helps professionals and organizations build practical data and AI skills in analytics, business intelligence, and data science. Our hands-on courses are designed to help learners stay competitive and future-proof their careers in the age of AI.
Are data analysis and data science still good career paths?
Absolutely. As long as companies collect and use data, they need people who know how to turn that data into results. Roles are changing, and so are the skills needed to succeed, but the career paths remain strong. Focus on data literacy fundamentals, business thinking, communication skills, and learning how to use modern data and AI tools, and you can build a strong career.
Will AI replace data jobs?
AI is changing how data professionals work, but it is not replacing the need for skilled analysts and data scientists. Instead, AI is becoming another tool in the data workflow. Organizations still need people who can ask the right questions, interpret results, communicate insights, and apply data to real business decisions. The most successful professionals will be those who learn how to combine core data skills with modern AI tools.
How can I future-proof my career in analytics?
Future-proofing your analytics career means building strong core data skills, understanding business context, and learning how to work effectively with AI rather than compete with it. The goal is to become a better analyst, problem solver, and decision-maker.
How long does it take to build job-ready data skills?
That depends on your starting point and goals, but many learners can build meaningful skills over a few months with consistent practice, even when studying part-time. The most important factor is applying what you learn through hands-on projects and real business problems.
